About Us
Howdy and welcome to Hartgersotten* Standard Schnauzers. We live outside Dallas Texas in a small town called Wylie. Our first Standard Schnauzer was a pet brought into our lives in 1984; this dog solidified our love of the breed. In 1990 we brought home our first show dog from Elaine Walton-Chambers (Von Schaden SS). With help from Elaine and lots of friends made along the way, we finished our first Champion. Since then, we have finished an owner surrender rescue to her Championship and seven others for a total of nine under the Hartgersotten kennel name.
In 2000 we finished 3 littermates, 2 from the Bred-by-Exhibitor Class, out of CH. Liebchen Von Hartgersotten X CH. Aurinko-Marki's Winning Wager. Liebchen was recognized as SSCA's Brood Bitch of the year for 2000!
In 2001 we finished 3 littermates, again from the Bred-by-Exhibitor Class, out of CH. Liebchen Von Hartgersotten X CH. Luja's Expresso Con Pana. One of the "girls" was Reserve Winners Bitch at the 2001 National Specialty from the Bred-by-Exhibitor Class. Also at the 2001 National Specialty we were proud to win Best of Opposite Sex with Tempe plus an Award of Merit with Phoenix from the CH. Liebchen Von Hartgersotten X CH. Aurinko-Marki's Winning Wager breeding - owner handled!
At the 2002 Northern California Regional Specialty, again owner handled, Tempe was awarded Best of Opposite Sex. The following day at the Standard Schnauzer Club of American's National Specialty Tempe earned the first Award of Merit!
Our first love is the conformation ring but we train in obedience and will venture into agility soon. We are active members of the Greater Collin Kennel Club serving as board members and club officers over the years. We are active members of the Standard Schnauzer Club of America where Bob served as an SSCA board member in 1996 and 1997. We were both co-trophy chairs for the 1995 SSCA National Specialty in Austin, Texas. We share our happy home in Wylie with 7 beautiful Standard Schnauzers. Pictured below are 4 of the 7 relaxing on their couch.
Thanks for giving us a click,
Bob Fadick and Vivian Kurowski
