Phoenix finished his championship quickly and easily at the age of thirteen months from the Bred-by-Exhibitor Class. In our wildest dreams, we never expected the outcome at the 2001 SSCA National Specialty. . . in the largest entry in SSCA history, Phoenix at just 2 1/2 years old was presented with an Award of Merit - owner handled!! He is a robust dog with a harsh rotating coat, good bite, fantastic movement, and a "to die for" temperament.
Phoenix is a SSCA Leading Producer with 12 champions to date - Dexter, Brandy, Bubbles and Lille, Marcus, Lacie, Kalle, Koehl, Boss, Button, Wily, Griffin.

With limited showing in 2002, Phoenix was ranked by SSCA (breed points) as number eleven.

Phoenix traveled to Valparaiso, Indiana to the 2007 SSCA National Specialty in June. He was awarded BEST IN VETERAN Sweepstakes under Mr. Joseph R. Tomey AND BEST VETERAN under Specialty Judge Mr. Ronald J. Lombardi! We couldn't be more proud of Phoenix.
